It seems somehow appropriate that the very first entry I post has to do with frogging. Of all the crafts I have ever done, knitting seems to be the one most prone to making me do things over. But strangely, I don’t really mind. And at least this time – unlike others – the do-over was not because I had somehow messed up. This time I ripped out about 7 inches of the back of this sweater I am working on because I decided to make a tweak to the design that I liked much better than what I’d been doing. And somehow even that is appropriate, considering that I have yet to make a sweater without having to rip out and redo at least part of it. Considering that this is sweater number 3 in my not-so-long history of knitting, I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I’ll figure that out later.
